A developmental red flag does not automatically mean that your child has a developmental disorder, autism or ADHD. Children develop at different rates. This checklist helps you recognise when further assessment may be appropriate.
Loss of a previously acquired skill at any age is particularly important and should be discussed with a paediatrician promptly.
This checklist is for general information and does not replace a clinical assessment or a validated developmental screening tool. See the CDC's developmental monitoring and screening guidance and the AAP's developmental screening guidance. Concerns or loss of previously acquired skills should be discussed with a healthcare professional.
